Gallaudet University cheerleading tryouts set for August 29 and 30

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Gallaudet University students interested in trying out for the 2011-12 cheerleading squad should report on August 29 and 30 to Hotchkiss Field at 4 p.m., both days, ready to tryout for the club. Each individual wanting to tryout must have a completed physical prior to trying out. The attire for the tryouts is workout clothes on Monday, August 29, and a white t-shirt and black shorts on Tuesday, August 30.

Coach Erin Schneider, who is in her second year at the helm, directs the GU cheerleading program. Last season, the Bison cheerleading club won three awards at the Moai Madness competition at Temple University.
