Kevin Alley and Robin Shannon named Players of the Week

WASHINGTON, DC--Wide receiver Kevin Alley and defensive back Robin Shannon were named offensive and defensive Players of the Week, following the Bison's 32-13 win against St. Vincent College. Alley had 8 receptions for 113 yards and two touchdowns, while Shannon led the defense with 8 tackles and three sacks. While five of Shannon's tackles counted for a total of 23 yards lost, the three sacks combined for a 20-yard loss. He also had a blocked punt that he recovered for a touchdown during the first half.

Coaches within the Independent schools (Mt. Ida, Husson, Becker Colleges, SUNY Maritime and Gallaudet) each nominate players of the week. Every week, there will be five of the "Player of the Week" awards, including Offensive, Defensive, Special Teams, Offensive Rookie and Defensive Rookie.
