Coach Burke is entering his fifth season as linebackers coach, and his fourth as assistant head coach. Coach Burke is heavily involved in game day operations, and brings intensity and familiarity to the Gallaudet staff. Burke has been a vital piece of the resurrection of the football program, and has been a main stay on the Bison sidelines. Coach Burke has coached the team leader in tackles all four years he has been on staff. In 2007 his linebacking corps was responsible for 16.5 sacks and 43 tackles for a loss.
Prior to joining the Gallaudet staff, from 2000-2004, Coach Burke was an Assistant Coach at Model Secondary School for the Deaf where he coached linebackers.
Coach Burke played linebacker for the Bison from 1995-2000.
Coach Burke completed a double-major in Computer Information Systems and Communication Arts at Gallaudet in 2000.
Coach Burke currently resides in Greenbelt, Md.
