Bison win Worthington Classic undefeated

WASHINGTON, DC--Gallaudet continued its team efforts and they paid of in another pair of 3-0 wins over Marymount University and Salem College. In the Marymount game, the Bison went 30-24, 30-12, 30-18. Justine Jeter and Amanda Krieger both tied for team-highs, firing 10 kills apiece. Libero Shana Lehmann had 12 digs while Krystle Berrigan had 35 assists.

Over the final weekend matchup against Salem College, the Buff and Blue did not allow the Spirit to score more than 20 points in any of the games (30-19, 30-15, 30-15). Lehmann recorded 18 digs, with Berrigan setting up 40 assists. Katelyn Reese had an explosive outing, unloading 13 kills and 4 service aces while her teammate Nukeitra Hayes posted 11 kills.

Shana Lehmann was named Most Valuable Player, with Krystle Berrigan and Justine Jeter also being selected for the All-Tournament team at the conclusion of the match.

The Bison travel to Wesley College to resume conference play on Wednesday, October 10. The first serve goes at 7:00 p.m.
