Volleyball Goes 1-1 at Scranton Invitational
After a stretch where Gallaudet won 6 out of 7 games, they headed to Scranton to face a pair of 20 win teams, as they get ready for the post-season. Gallaudet went one and one, beating Scranton in five sets, and losing to Lebanon Valley in four sets.
In the win over Scranton, Gallaudet was led by Katelyn Reese who had 16 kills and 0 errors, and a school record .727 percentage, 2 digs and 4 blocks as Gallaudet won a thriller 25-14, 22-25, 25-22, 24-26, 16-14. Ludmila Mounty-Weinstock had 22 kills and 4 digs, Justine Jeter had 16 kills and 16 digs, and Amanda Kreiger added 5 kills and 11 digs.
Both matches were good preparation for the Bison as they prepare to play Salisbury Wednesday night, at 7 pm, in their final regular season home game of the year, as part of Digs for Pink, to help raise awareness of and money for breast cancer research. Salisbury is ranked 22nd in the nation.
This weekend, Gallaudet travels to play in the Elizabethtown Tournament, then next week begin the CAC play-offs against a team to be determined. Gallaudet is now 15-15 on the season.
