NCAA Rules Changes
Effective this year, the term “game” has been changed
to “sets”. Competition is still the best three out of
five sets Teams win Games 1 through 4 with 25 points and a
two-point lead, and Game 5 with 15 points and a two-point lead.
Teams are allowed a maximum of 12 substitutions per set.
Referees have adopted a new standard for ball handling decisions
which allows for greater flexibility in judging the second team
contact. Finally, coaches are required to remain 1.75 meters from
the sideline when the ball is in play.
